Kitchen renovations in the Bozeman area typically range from $35,000 for a cosmetic refresh to $150,000+ for a full gut-and-rebuild with high-end finishes.

The biggest factors are scope (cosmetic vs. structural), material selections, and kitchen size. A mid-range kitchen renovation — new cabinets, countertops, appliances, lighting, and flooring in a standard-sized kitchen — usually falls between $55,000 and $90,000.

We provide a detailed, line-item estimate during our free consultation so you know exactly where every dollar goes before signing anything.

It depends on the scope:

  • Bathroom renovation: 3-6 weeks
  • Kitchen remodel: 6-12 weeks
  • Whole-home renovation: 12-24 weeks

We provide a detailed week-by-week schedule before construction begins, and 92% of our projects finish on time or ahead of schedule.

Montana winters can occasionally affect outdoor work, but we plan for weather from the start.

For most projects, no. We set up dust barriers, protect your floors and furniture, and maintain clean pathways through your home. For a kitchen renovation, we'll help you set up a temporary kitchen space in another room.

The only time we recommend temporarily relocating is during a full whole-home renovation where every room is being touched simultaneously — and even then, it's usually only for 2-4 weeks during the most intensive phase. We'll discuss living arrangements during the planning stage so there are no surprises.

Yes, completely. We handle all permit applications, fees, scheduling, and inspections for every project. In Gallatin County and the Bozeman area, permit requirements vary by project type and scope — we know the local process inside and out and factor permit timelines into your project schedule from day one. You don't need to visit any government office or coordinate with any inspector. That's our job.

We serve the greater Bozeman area, Big Sky, and Livingston, Montana. Our primary service area covers all of Gallatin County and Park County, and we have office locations in all three communities. For exceptional projects outside this area — such as large whole-home renovations in the Paradise Valley or upper Yellowstone area — we evaluate on a case-by-case basis.

The first step is a free, no-obligation consultation at your home. You can schedule one by:

We'll visit your home, walk the space with you, listen to your ideas, and follow up within 48 hours with our initial thoughts and a rough budget range. No pressure, no hard sell — just honest professional guidance.

During the free consultation, we visit your home for 60-90 minutes. We walk the space, take measurements and photos, discuss your vision and goals, talk honestly about budget ranges, and answer all your questions.

Within 48 hours, you'll receive a written follow-up with our initial assessment, rough budget range, and recommended next steps. There's no obligation — many homeowners use this as a starting point for planning a future project.

We don't offer in-house financing directly, but we work with several local and national lending partners who specialize in home improvement loans.

Many of our clients use home equity lines of credit (HELOCs), personal home improvement loans, or cash-out refinancing. We're happy to connect you with our preferred lending partners during the planning phase, and we can provide the detailed project scope documentation that lenders typically require.

Our fixed-price contracts are designed to prevent budget overruns. The price we quote is the price you pay — assuming the scope stays the same.

If we discover something unexpected during construction (like hidden water damage behind a wall), we contact you immediately with options, costs, and our recommendation. No additional work happens without your written approval and a signed change order that clearly shows the cost and timeline impact.

We also build a contingency recommendation into every proposal — typically 10-15% — to cover the unexpected.

In renovation, surprises happen — especially in older homes. When we uncover something unexpected (structural issues, outdated wiring, plumbing that doesn't meet code), we stop, document it with photos, and call you right away.

We present clear options: what needs to happen, what it costs, and how it affects the timeline. Nothing changes without your written approval. Our 14 years of experience in Montana homes means we anticipate most issues before they become problems, but transparency is our default when the unexpected shows up.

Yes, through our formal change-order process. If you want to upgrade a countertop material, add a window, or change a layout detail after construction has started, your project manager will prepare a change order that clearly shows the cost difference and any schedule impact.

You review and approve it before any work changes. We encourage making as many decisions as possible during the design phase to minimize mid-project changes, but we understand that sometimes seeing the space take shape sparks new ideas.

Every Ridgeline Renovations project comes with a comprehensive 2-year craftsmanship warranty covering all labor performed by our team. If anything related to our workmanship needs attention within two years of your final walkthrough, we fix it at no cost.

Beyond our labor warranty, all materials, fixtures, and appliances carry their respective manufacturer warranties — and we provide all documentation in your project binder at handoff. We also check in at 6 months and 12 months post-completion to make sure everything is performing as expected.

Our primary focus is residential renovation — that's where our passion and deepest expertise lie.

However, we occasionally take on small-to-medium commercial projects in the Bozeman area, particularly for businesses that want the same mountain-modern aesthetic in their workspace. Restaurants, boutique retail spaces, and professional offices are the most common commercial projects we accept. If you have a commercial project in mind, reach out and we'll let you know if it's the right fit.

You won't be on your own for this. Our design team guides you through every material and finish selection during the design phase. We bring curated options that fit your style, budget, and the practical demands of your space — not an overwhelming catalog of 500 tile samples.

We maintain relationships with local suppliers and national distributors, which means we can get material samples in your hands quickly and often at better pricing. For clients who want a more hands-on experience, we schedule visits to our supplier showrooms in Bozeman.
