Everything you need to know about working with Drawn In Code.
Drawn In Code is a web design agency that builds custom websites for local businesses. We deliver high-quality sites faster and more affordably than traditional agencies — without sacrificing design quality or attention to detail.
AI accelerates the development process — helping with code scaffolding, content suggestions, and rapid prototyping. But every design decision, layout choice, and final detail is reviewed and refined by human designers. Think of AI as our power tools, not our decision-maker.
Never. Every website we build is 100% custom-coded from scratch using HTML, CSS (Tailwind), and JavaScript. No WordPress, no Wix, no Squarespace. This means faster load times, cleaner code, and a design that’s truly unique to your business.
We work with local businesses across all industries — from outdoor services and auto detailing to dental practices, barbershops, bakeries, restaurants, and more. If you serve local customers, we can build you a website that brings in more of them.
Most projects launch within 5–7 business days from our initial discovery call. Simple landing pages can be done in 2–3 days, while larger multi-page sites with extensive content typically take 7–10 days. We also offer rush delivery for an additional fee.
Just your time for a 30-minute discovery call and any existing brand assets you have — logo, photos, color preferences, or examples of websites you like. If you don’t have these, no worries. We can work with you to develop your brand direction from scratch.
Every project includes up to 2 rounds of revisions. Most clients are happy after the initial build, but we want you to be 100% satisfied. Additional revision rounds can be arranged if needed.
We’ll discuss your business, your target audience, your competitors, what you like and don’t like about other websites, and your goals for the new site. This helps us create a design direction that truly fits your brand. The call is free and comes with no obligation.
Everything — design, build, hosting, and ongoing care, all rolled into one monthly number. That means the discovery call, custom design concept, full development, mobile optimization, SEO foundations, contact forms, and up to 2 rounds of revisions before launch. Then once the site is live: reliable hosting on Netlify with 99.9% uptime, SSL certificate management, monthly performance and security health checks, and a set number of content edits per month based on your tier. No separate design invoice, no hidden line items. Idea to launch to long-term care — one price.
Starter starts at $125/month, Professional starts at $200/month, and Premium starts at $350/month. Those are floors, not flat rates — your actual number depends on what your site needs (pages, integrations, ongoing care). Same hand-coded build quality across all three — the tiers differ mostly in scope. Every project gets a quote first so you know your exact monthly before anything is signed. Pick the one that fits where your business is right now. You can move up later if you outgrow it.
$0 upfront. Nothing is charged while we’re designing and building — your first monthly payment hits on launch day, the day your site goes live. From there it’s the same monthly amount on the same day each month. We work together for a 12-month Initial Term so we can plan around you properly — after that, it shifts to month-to-month with 30 days’ notice if you ever want to wind things down. No deposit, no milestone payments, no surprise invoices.
Yes — and it works out to about two months on us. Annual billing starts at $1,250 for Starter, $2,000 for Professional, and $3,500 for Premium. The math is simple: pay ten months up front, get twelve. If your scope puts you above the tier floor, the annual number scales the same way — still ten for twelve. The $0-upfront monthly path is still the default — most folks pick that. But if you’d rather settle the year in one invoice — handy for restaurants and salons closing the books on a deductible expense — just let us know during onboarding. Same site either way.
Totally your call — give us 30 days’ notice and pick your path. We can package up the code, content, and deploy notes so you can self-host or hand it to another developer ($500 covers the handoff labor), or we can take the site offline cleanly and archive it. No drama, no guilt trip.
Yes — the design, content, and code are yours from day one. While we’re working together, we host and tend it as part of the service. If you ever decide to move on, $500 covers the actual labor of packaging files, writing deploy notes, and walking you through the handoff — but the site itself was always yours to take.
Every project gets a real quote before anything is signed. The prices on the pricing page are floors — Starter from $125/month, Professional from $200/month, Premium from $350/month — because every small business is different and we don’t want to pretend a three-page bakery site and a twelve-page contractor site cost the same thing. Here’s how it works: fill out the quote form (or the contact form) with a few details about your business, what pages you think you’ll need, and any integrations you’re picturing. Within 24 hours you’ll get back a written quote with your exact monthly number, what’s included, and a link to the agreement. No high-pressure sales call, no mystery pricing. If it’s not a fit, you’re out nothing. If it is, we start building.
We deploy sites on Netlify, a modern hosting platform known for speed, security, and reliability. Your site is served from a global CDN (Content Delivery Network) so it loads fast no matter where your visitors are.
Absolutely. Every site we build is mobile-first — meaning we design for phones first, then scale up to tablets and desktops. Your site will look and function beautifully on any device.
Your monthly hosting plan includes content changes handled by us — so you don’t have to worry about touching code. Just email us what you want changed and we’ll take care of it, usually within 24 hours.
We can help you purchase and configure a domain name, or connect your existing domain to your new site. Domain registration fees are separate (typically $10–15/year) and paid directly to the domain registrar.
An edit is up to 150 words of copy changes on a page, or one image swap, or one small visual tweak. If we’re updating the same thing in many places — like a phone number in the footer of every page — that’s still one edit, not ten. Bigger changes — a new page, a new form, an integration — are quoted separately as a small project at $75/hour, so your monthly allowance stays for the small stuff.
Custom integrations — booking systems, payment processors, member logins, multi-language setups, anything that connects your site to outside software. Most sites don’t need any of this. If yours does, we quote the setup as a one-time fixed number before anything is signed, and it’s invoiced separately from your subscription. Your monthly price never changes because of it.
We’re happy to answer anything. Reach out and we’ll get back to you within one business day.
