About This Service

The First Step Is
Listening

A design consultation is for anyone exploring the possibility of building, renovating, or reimagining a space. Whether you’ve just purchased land, inherited a property, or are simply dreaming about what could be — this is where it begins.

You’ll sit down one-on-one with Marcus Reyes, AIA, our founding principal, for a focused 90-minute session. We’ll discuss your goals, walk through your site (or review it remotely), and give you an honest assessment of what’s possible within your budget and timeline.

There’s no obligation to proceed beyond the consultation. Our goal is to give you clarity — whether that means working with us, working with someone else, or simply understanding your options before making a decision.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

Bring anything that helps communicate your vision: site photos, property surveys, inspiration images, magazine clippings, or even rough sketches. If you have a budget range in mind, that’s helpful too. But don’t worry if you’re coming in with only an idea — that’s exactly what we’re here for.

Absolutely. We offer video consultations for clients outside our immediate area. While an in-person site visit provides the richest understanding, we can accomplish a great deal remotely with photos, drone footage, and satellite imagery.

Yes. If you choose to engage Sotol Architecture for a full design project, your consultation fee is credited toward the contract. Consider it a deposit on your vision.
