Meet Marcus Reeve
Marcus spent years as an aerospace coatings technician, applying protective finishes to aircraft components where a flaw wasn’t an option. That obsession with precision followed him into cars. In 2018 he opened Obsidian Detail Co. on East Austin’s 6th Street corridor, bringing aerospace-grade standards to automotive care.
Eight years and a few thousand vehicles later, the shop has grown from a one-man operation into a small team of certified installers. The philosophy hasn’t moved: treat every vehicle like it’s our own, use only the products we’d put on our own paint, and never cut a corner. That’s the Obsidian standard.
